On Wednesday, August 22th at 7:30 pm we will be presenting our annual Summer Concert. We are happy to have Joe Wolverton, who is preparing his fall schedule to sing in Europe. We are also pleased to have Jesse Gelber and Kate Manning who have just completed a stint on the New York City cabaret circuit. Kate Manning has the singing lead in The Wiz in the national road company that is traveling through the southern states this summer but will be back for our concert. Please plan to come because as always it is a great night.

Featured performers include:

Joseph Wolverton

Mr. Joseph Wolverton has been critically acclaimed both in the United States and Europe for his many performances and recordings. He has been praised for his technique, fluid line and expression, and is noted for his lyricism and refinement. He is at home both on the operatic stage and the concert hall. He has recently performed in concert with Doc Severenson. He has sung the title role in such operas as Madam Butterfly, Tosca, Rigoletto, La Traviata, Faust and many others, in opera companies throughout the world. He recently returned from Sweden where he did Romeo and Juliet, Tosca and Beethoven’s Coral Symphony. He studied at The Julliard School of Music and is the winner of the Opera Company of Philadelphia’s Pavarotti competition. Many more things could be said about his extensive repertoire and talent but for us at Immaculate Conception we are happy and proud to say he is a parishioner.
